I'm bored so let's make another thread about 4th gen
So in your opinion, who are the most popular 4th gen bg right now and wich one could maybe lead 4th generation? (become top groups of new gen). Try to give reasons if possible?
For me I would say, Stray Kids, TXT and Treasure.
I would add Ateez but their korean fanbase is almost nonexistant and I don't trust their agency...
My reasons;
1. Stray kids: They gather a lot attention from ifans. Their music isn't really "gp" but the fact they release their own things and have their identity help. I'm also think Kingdom will help them a lot. Since JYP give them more freedom that they did for GOT7, they should be more okay? I hope.
2. TXT: They are the first group of BH since BTS and have some gp songs among kpop fans. BH know what work with kpop fans and have music they love. Only thing is that BH should focus a little bit on them instead almost only care of BTS.
3. Treasure: YG is focusing a lot on them and the members are really talented and stannable. If YG don't mess (with a XXX years hiatus + shipping in Japan) and let them release their own songs, I think they can go far. I know being from YG is an disavantage right now (with scandals) but it doesn't change they have contact and all their groups ended to have at least 1 hit song. I wouldn't be surprise to see Treasure have 1 one day.
Unknown variable: SMNBG (depend if it's a NCT unit + if they debut them in same time as a NCT unit, fans could divide... Also I'm scared of SM concept), Enhypen (need to see more to know but another group from Iland will debut so it could divide some fans? Their attention is limited after all) & BHNBG (seem they want already debut another boy group this year or in 2022... not sure what will happen to TXT if it happen but we can see)
