Think about it:
It mixes the current trend of non melodic/trap with over the top cute vocal harmonies (two things that Blackpink made popular) but ALSO paying a huge rendition to 2nd gen groups (TVXQ, SUJU) during that epic build up
I think I haven't heard this before (at least on a big group)
And even though I kinda hated the talked rap part at first, now I think it works perfectly with what SM is trying to do
In other words, Next Level is the summary of three different kpop generations. All at once. Right in your face.
