Kind of depends?
for example if I would spent time during night on ship and then in the morning I would be in new city in new country then it would be interesting but we all know it's not always like that...
but in train tho you can be comfy, there are even trains with showers these days! and you can watch through window, or go to dining cart
yeah I get it that big ass cruise ship is more 'walkable' and you can even go to gym there, you can sunbath, go to swimming pool or have a SPA experience...
but then imagine what if something went wrong, not saying you sinking but just staying still there on water?
then I would rather be still in train, which you can always leave go to closest village or city and take a cab or bus or ask someone to drive you somewhere else...
