i think there should be an age limit for cute concepts

i disagree, if everyone moved on from the cute concept because their age doesnt "fit" with it then kpop would all be the same and every group in the same age range would have a similar concept

im just so confused at what constitutes as a "cute" concept now tho. bc rarely any groups rlly does what was the historical cute concept with tons of aegyo and baby voices. most of the groups that have worn high school uniforms in concept any time recently actually have underage members too from what i know. "soft" "fun" concepts are more of the vibe for ggs who opt out of girl crush. i think we should just get rid of the term "cute concept" and come up with a better descriptor.

I think what we should be worrying about is the groups with minors doing sexy concepts not the adults doing cute concepts that is completely harmless and that you could ignore if you wanted

The groups can do what they want but who would like to see a 40 years old Idol do a cute concepts

No way. Let people do the concept they want to. If they want to do a cute concept in their mid-20’s then let them, they’re not hurting anyone and if they truly enjoy the concept they should be allowed to do it

i just think the industry should be able to do cute concept without infantilization. someone dont have to talk with a baby voice to be cute nor do they have to act like a 2 years old.

being cute =/= being a kid.

Now I understand this thread. Unlike majority who would think for example “Wolf Is Stupid” by TINT( only one I could think of rn). Concepts that are bright are what you consider cute, but I disagree because bright concepts are something that brings more diversity to kpop

Well, the age limit is when they decide they don't want to do it anymore. Or when the public decides they're too old too watch.

I personally find it off-putting every time I see a GG of 20 something women that are singing in those typical high pitched GG voices as if they were 14. I personally find it disturbing. The groups I prefer are the ones that sound like adults.

disagree. if the members like it why stop? also i hate how yall think once youre a little older suddenly you gotta stop being cute. cute isnt always inherently childish. i think its a problem tho when the cute concept is “lolita-like” REAL lolita (kpop stans call anything lolita), for example the heavy rotation mv is disguting. once you start sexualizing cute concepts its a problem.

A "cute concept" could just be bubbly and fun which is exactly what Red Velvet does.
