In the 2nd gen, we had groups like INFINITE, SISTAR, AOA, APINK, etc who could compete with big3 groups.
Now in the 4th gen, you're seeing groups like ATEEZ, The Boyz, GIDLE, able to be competing with top 4th gen groups. Even in the 3rd gen, we have non big3 groups like GFRIEND, Mamamoo, Oh My Girl, Seventeen who are able to compete with top big 3 groups.
My question is....will we be able to see more of this in the future? And how would a non-big 4 company be able to achieve this? 
I hope so! I think innovation comes from smaller companies?
I like BH bc they put out high quality content and BTS's level of fame will be hard to replicate, but I totally believe the next innovator in the scene could come from an agency that wants to test the limits of kpop artistically in a brand new + different way.
they would probably achieve it through having a different vibe/concept to them than what most mainstream big3 groups have at the moment. if you look at the groups u mentioned as examples, most of them has a concept that doesn't look like something i've seen from the big3 companies. so it's highly possible that that would be the reason the artist blew up
