i can only accept supernatural as being better than hype boy, and mayyybe better or as good as ditto overall and not just as a pop song . but you're pushing too far with godbasic .

also even if they were better songs, (except gods) NJZ has ZERO mid song .

Hype Boy is that song. Timeless and flawless. Cultural reset.

yep, to also quote selfmate, it's just not my cup of tea. NewJeans has no bad songs imo, just happens that I like a lot of their other songs more than I like Hype Boy, and one of them is Ditto.

Hype boy is an easier listen then ditto. Ditto doesn't flow the same way. I didn't enjoy it.

Both are great songs and it's difficult to chose.

I picked Ditto since I find it a little bit catchier.

Hype boy is probably catchier, easier to listen to and that's why it has that crazy longevity, but to me Ditto is one of those "perfect" songs. The composition is perfect, the lyrics are cute enough but not too cheesy with some memorable parts, the vibe is emotional, the MV and the era itself are deep and meaningful... It's one of those 4 or 5 songs I'd say they're one of my fav songs ever depending on the mood. I like it more now than before and I have the feeling the older I'll get the more I'll like it, It's the idea behind the song after all, the nostalgia.
