A vocal analysis can be an opinion because the professional's analysis is based on THEIR experience and education. Those professional likely have never worked with her in person nor are aware of the physical and internal voice indicators that can affect her vocal capabilities. They are going solely based off of their experience and what they see on the internet.

Not saying their experience is invalid but that doesn't mean its entirely dependable, either.

And i will say this again, idols are not just singers!!

I don't even get what gives you the right to be making such judgemental comments about her and her vocals when you can't even do half the things she does.

She was never the greatest but rather did well in what she was given. She’s praised for a dancer who can also sing while even main vocals being able to sing a rarity in kpop.

Did you bother to actually read those reviews? If not, stop talking! I said this many times, my mother is a vocal coach, I worked with singers, and I can see if a random review online was written by an actual professional or not. All of those are well-written and detailed analysis! Not just some random fan, wrote: "Oh, she's the best."

This is the reason I can talk about vocals, not because I'm a Mamamoo, Taeyeon or Wendy stan. I have the knowledge, just like the people who wrote those reviews. The only one who's in denial is you! A typical fan who can only accept the same opinion, and in this case want to ignore actual facts, because it doesn't suit their agenda.

Vocals and cars are pretty much the same, my friend. Both can be developed into a better one! That's my point! If you can't understand a simple analogy like this, I'm not wasting my time on you, either.

So, now you're saying being a vocal coach or a vocalist is based on personal experience? It's like saying learning to read can be different to everyone. No, you learn the same thing. You may need more time to learn to read, but the skills are the same.

You don't have to work with a singer, to understand the level of their skills. Again, you're saying, a vocal coach can't do a real analysis if they don't work with them in person. It's like saying, you can only know if a car is fast if you're driving it! That's not how these things work.

Bad analogy, actually. To develop a car into a "better" one, you would have to redesign and reconstruct, consider all the trade-offs between the changes you are making and the pre-exisiting features of the car, etc, and THEN come out with a new model which is very costly and is a risk to take if the new model does not sit well with consumers.

And no, they are not very much the same. Vocal ability is very subjective and the only thing way a car is remotely similar in that way is that you buy a car based on preference.

There is a reason why he stopped doing vocal analysis and ranking idol vocals so kpop fans don't use it to weaponize and lowkey for fanwars. That vocal analysis blog haven't been updated in ages tho. It has been so long but some people improved, other regressed so we don't really know their progress at the moment. According to what he said a while back Taeyeon vocal technique had gotten better . She is a much better vocalist than when she when she was a rookie. so who's to say other idols can't improve?
