• I. Introduction

    Jung Sungchan, known professionally as Sungchan (성찬), is a Korean rapper. He is a rapper and dancer in NCT, but has not yet been assigned to a permanent position or a permanent NCT sub-unit.

    II. 2020: NCT

    Sungchan was introduced as the newest member in NCT on September 21, 2020. He made his first appearance in NCT on October 12, 2020 as part of NCT's rotating combination unit, NCT U. NCT U utilizes different members to match the song and its accompanying performance, as well as serving to debut new NCT members.

    Sungchan participated in the NCT 2020 project in October 2020, featuring all NCT members, and debuting two new ones. This project also included a 2-part NCT full album, NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1 and NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 2. He appears as a rapper on "Misfit," "Light Bulb," "90s Love," as well as singing and rapping on "All About You." He also appears in the combination single "Resonance," which combines multiple songs. The entire project also appeared on NCT World 2.0, a competition-focused show.

    III. 2021: Inkigayo

    Sungchan was introduced on February 18, 2021, as one of three new hosts for the weekly music show Inkigayo. He debuted as MC on March 7, 2021.

    - Sungchan is learning Japanese.

    - Sungchan is similar in age to members of NCT Dream and the WayV maknae, Yangyang.

    - He is the third youngest member of NCT.

    - Sungchan substitued for NCT 127 leader Taeyong on his key parts in "Boss" and "Light Bulb" during an NCT Beyond Live concert in December 2020, when Taeyong could not participate due to injury. This was his first concert.
