Since Hybe is stalking SM and knows their schedule, I don't understand how they could have the confidence to send Illit against Aespa

  • They tried to paint Wonhee as the 2nd Wonyoung. What are they smoking at Hybe? It also makes sense why Illit concept changed drastically to center around Wonhee.

I think they are not very rational, and more emotional

That explains most of the problems

They can't even think of an excuse

  • They sent LSF against Idle coming off Tomboy back in 2022. Both Antifragile and Nxde had the same comeback day.

It's kind of weird they've done it twice now for their group's sophomore effort.

I dunno, just seems like that's their modus operandi.

bsh rlly thinks that his gg can top everything

  • bsh is scared of sm since there very talented + hybe is cursed with the gg curse where the ggs that he makes personally ends up having a hate train

  • These actually aren't photoshopped. They just found the pictures of each member with the right lighting and angles which make a world of difference. I know because I used to be a bodybuilder. I could look like a complete different person with the right lighting. Iirc Ningning talked about hers at least, that she gains muscle very easily. It's not surprising though, because they apparently all work out a ton, especially Giselle, who says she's addicted to the gym.

Wonyoung stans on twitter are brutal

  • In fairness to Hybe, their fake it until you make it techniques helped them create the biggest idol group in the world.

They probably used similar strategies back when Exo and BTS were competing, and as we all know BTS crushed Exo.

Bang PD probably felt like he could do the same with Le Sserafim and then in an emergency with NJ 2,0

I guess they are taking a page from YG's book. YG used to do that a lot. I remember them pairing up 2NE1 against SNSD in 2014 (Comeback Home vs Mr Mr), it reached the point where even when SM posponed SNSD's comeback, YG postponed 2NE1's too to make sure they'll still overlap lol. they also pulled the same trick the next year with Big Bang's Made vs EXO. it doesn't matter which group was more popular or successful but from YG's perspectiven pitting his top groups against SM top groups sparked fans' competitiveness which made them work harder to outdo the other fandom, not to mention the competition's effect on media and the general public.

the mere suggestion that, say, illit or any other new gg was "going against" Aespa will get people's attention and curiosity, which will make people check them out and increase the chance of new fans liking them and buying their music. it is a time old practice to make your groups come back around the same time as the most popular artists, to maximise attention by proxy. just the mere fact a top group ir performing in a music show potentially increases the viewership of the show

I remember all those eras lol

But imma be honest at least yg groups could compete with them and were both top tier

  • There was an incident last year where Eunchae accidentally slipped up, revealing that she knew Aespa's comeback would be in November, even though it hadn’t been announced and still a secret. THE AESPA GIRLS DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT LOL! She looked panicked, and to cover it up, they claimed that the broadcasting station must have known about it. However, since it was only September at the time, it look sus ngl. With the recent reports being exposed, well we finally know that Hybe just that obsessed with Sm especially Aespa that they know everything about them in advance.

What I don't understand is, if the company knew Aespa's comeback date, why would Hybe still send Illit to compete against them? Illit’s comeback was announced right after Aespa's on the same freaking day, and 'coincidentally', both groups have the same comeback date too. If this doesn’t prove how obsessed Hybe is with Sm, I don't know what does. It feels like Hybe deliberately put Illit against Aespa, thinking they could overshadow Aespa, and winning against Sm. Magnetic is such a successful song this year, but I don't know if that could have clouded their judgment that much.

Considering Bang Pd asked Mhj using Nj to step on Aespa before, it now seems like he’s trying the same with Illit. Poor girls.

Does anyone think about the pressure illit is under with such high expectations to beat Aespa!

I don't think BTS crushed Exo especially when their success probably started with Exo awards being given to BTS to kill their morale and momentum.

Also, SM just didn't invest in promoting Exo in variety shows and social media while BH invested in that big time for BTS.

One group just grew bigger and the other stagnated to some extent but it wasn't crushed.
