Aespa is the only 4th gen girl group I listen to, so they'd be my number 1. But even then, I only listen to a handful of their songs.
I selected Everglow, as I do listen to two of their songs regularly (LA DI DA and Zombie).
I selected LE SSERAFIM because I like Chaewon and Kazuha a lot, as well as some of their songs (though I don't listen to them lol).
Finally, I selected IVE because I like Wonyoung. But I don't listen to any of their songs anymore, I do appreciate them though!
Can't come up with a reason to vote for a 5th, unfortunately! -

(G)I-DLE would have been a strong contender for my list, but I didn't like their title tracks very much after "HWAA." Some of their newer B-sides are still great to me, though. I'm checking out their discography again as we speak.

They almost made the cut! I just find myself listening to these other groups more. I based it on listening activity.

Those are my favorite 5 current ggs. The ones that i think have the most potential as well. I didn't mention kiof because even tho they too have a lot of potential, i just don't vibe with the group.
Also I find many 4th gen ggs mediocre and just lackluster and FORGETABLE. It all started from itzy, then it continued with Ive and Ssera. BORING. I think it's closely linked with their lack of vocal talent or uninteresting vocal tones. something is just missing.
For ive for example, just the presence of a vocal like Jo Yuri instead of the tone deaf Gaeul (nothing personal) would have made the group so much more interesting musically. idk they got the visuals, but vocal wise, just one good voice can't carry the whole group.
