Like you today, TXT have their comeback release and an extreme run on their albums.
The same thing happened last year when TXT and IVE made their comebacks on the same day. TXT had huge sales figures that day, IVE was number 1 every other day and also number 1 in the second week. Ultimately, TXT missed their personal sales record by 600 thousand albums.
NCT Dream even missed their record last week against ILLIT by almost a million albums.
As a result, BABYMONSTER's album debut can still sell really well this week.
I feel sorry for the girls, because they're actually talented, but YG is not mainstream anymore.
People compare Babymonster with ILLIT, but that's not really fair, because HYBE is massive, like YG was in their Blackpink days.
Let's compare their numbers with artists like Moonbyul who's underrated as hell, yet she had 100K pre-order, she could've had 100K 1st day sale if RBW wouldn't be lazy af.
