Do they release songs that sound like they put a bunch of random sounds put into a blender added some scream rapping and call it a song because.
1. They genuinely think that music is what appeals to the fandom/general public. (Not Korea but overall worldwide)
2. Or because they know that their fans will buy it regardless of the quality.
I think option 2, my problem with this is that a lot of people think they can become mega successful without great music.
And yes you can sell millions but what people forget is that groups like BTS exo big bang in their prime because digital powerhouses AND album sellers because of good music.. just imagine if stray kids actually had great music. Or nct. They are selling now without it at all. Breaking records on pre orders when nobody heard it yet.
The bts formula of scream rapping and noise music needs more respect, yes they did that but they still had quality to a standard they didn't just have songs random as heck. Not today, idol, mic drop still made sense as music. BG's are copying them but forgetting the music part.
And I find that really sad. And depressing.
