That’s what many people on this forum sound like in their delulu rants.
Very few groups can overcome the privilege of companies.
And very few have this type of career trajectory.
Before promo used to be something that big3 companies and mid size companies could afford like for example going on Korean variety and what not. These were ofc privileges that gave you more exposure and promo.
If BTS were formed before the advent of social media instead of at the crux of it they could not have spearheaded this massive shift in kpop behavior. And they would have been under the thumb of the bigger companies who had monopoly over promotions on tv channels and other Korean broadcasts and shows.
Now promo has become something very international and not something all companies know how to do nor have connections or perhaps even money.
The truth is big3 and mid size companies stans have become like the nugu Stan’s of 3rd gen arguing about big3 privilege and how their favs are only popular because of their company and discrediting it.
I find it funny that SM/YG/JYP Stan’s have to talk about privilege because they are no longer the biggest in town. It’s hilarious.
It’s a coping mechanism.
Anyway it’s ok to look at things objectively and ack some groups are bigger than others because they’re in a better company.
I honestly love that excuse. Ofc exo is less known these days because SM sucks. Excuse me that’s literally my favorite go to line.
