I have to admit I wasn't a fan at first but I grew as a person and I recognize this song as a bop.

I'm just wore out of Red Velvet I think. Even when I like their music I don't stream as hard as in the past. I feel bad for this sometimes, as they were one of the groups I listed the most. Loved their discography, I still do mostly, but their new music just don't hit as hard

this reminds me of a tweet that went viral some weeks ago, someone who was listening to the chill kill album and saying it all sounded old fashioned to them because the vocals were "too good" and there were "too many harmonies", since they were more used to "simplified vocals" from 4th gen etc. these people probably think exo discography is the kpop equivalent to medieval music.

Poor Gunwook, he's actually the main rapper I don't know what made the guys think he could reach Chen high note. I believe he asked for the position, he dreams of improving and becoming a better singer I think so I'll give some points for passion

Hanbin did fine, but he struggles with runs and chest voice. He hits the note just fine but quickly loses his breath and finishes the high note rather quickly and awkwardly

Overall I find them pretty decent tho. They are covering EXO, how many groups nowadays dares to do that without lipsynch the hell out of the performance and again, without their 2 main vocals. Those kids are pretty brave, give them some credit

The only EXO-school groups right now are The Boyz (and they remind me more of SVT) and YG tried with Treasure, but YG is incompetent in everything they propose themselves to do, so of course they failed

Honestly, it was never a flop, sometimes people have high expectations for Red Velvet because of Psycho and Feel my Rhythm is a masterpiece on another level. I've been rotating my playlist between Drama, Chill Kill, Guilty and Ringo for a month now. I listen to this combo all the time. Sometimes I add Ive's song Baddie to the mix because it reminds me of Red Velvet's style.

I don't think I have that kind of high expectations of rv, psycho and fmr are rv songs I don't listen that much. My favorite rv tt are zimzalabim, umpah umpah and birthday

BTS dissed their more rap-oriented singles as early as 2019. If I have to right down a timeline:

1) Rap became a major force in the middle of 3rd gen, with numerous groups focusing on rapping, like MX, iKon, BTS, NCT, Winner, and so on. However, rap used to coexist just fine with pop-ish songs

2) Somehow in 2017 BTS broke the kpop sphere, and companies observed this movement and started tailoring their groups to follow BTS steps

3) BTS ascesion made to numerous groups debuting from 2018 to 2020 to be rap-based, dark, and edgy.

4) BTS enjoyed even more success with pop songs like Boy With Luv, Dynamite and Butter. But it was now too late for early 4th gen BG. Some of those groups like Ateez and Stray Kids already had their own musical identity and couldn't drop them without alienating their fandom

5) Companies realized the market was becoming way too homogenous and are now trying to diversify their lineups

I think we are coming back to how the things used to be in 3rd gen. Some groups will be pop, some more rap focused, and some mixed

Tbh, it's a solid 5/10, nothing spectacular. I hated it at first too but it grew on me when I saw them perform it on music shows.

Red Velvet has one of the best discography and vocal harmonies in SM, I don’t know why people are sleeping on them so much

I can't lie, I listened to Birthday the most this year. I love Psycho, but after listening to it for 2 months when it was out, I got bored of it. Last year I listened to Feel My Rhythm the most. Russian Roulette used to be my favorite song, but I don't listen to it anymore because I'm bored. Zimzalabim is a very crazy and energizing song that never gets old. I can also listen to fun title tracks for longer. I like the Velvet songs on the album more than the Velvet songs in the title track; I prefer Velvet, like Kingdom Come and Underwater.

my friend if you liked the song just like the song...

I preferred some of the bsides over chill kill, but it was a good song
