There is not much gap between blackpink and new jeans songs. i heard new jeans had close to 20 songs if i am not wrong and blackpink has 33 songs and new jeans come 3 times this year.

Girl, nobody was ever streaming those 200 songs, Twice has always been title focused group. 90% of them have few dozens of streams, and it is even worse on Korean streaming services, where only ever title songs did great.

Because it shows bp is the most streamed artist not because of the quantity, but the quality. I know you want me to say Twice is also for the quality, and I dont doubt thats part of why theyre one of the most streamed groups, but it's a fact they release just as much music as Nj per year. In fact it is possible that BP will be outstreamed next year if they dont release anything. That just show how massive BP is in streams when they barely release anything and still is competition to the rest. Imagine if they were active like the other groups, the gap would be much bigger.

Okay, I at least finally understand the point that you're trying to make but it ain't it. Quantity is the only and sole reason BP came on top this year. You take average - NJ wins. So what exactly is the "opposite" happening here? You're just adding a disclaimer, you're trying to say " WELL this is a different than with Twice". To be fair Twice did only have one release this year. Twice is in their dungeon era now well besides Japanese releases and solo. But yeah BP is of course impressive as hell with their streams.

That’s extremely impressive considering how popular New Jeans have been and the fact they had no comeback this year.

If they go another year without a comeback I’m sure they will be overtaken, which is to be expected when you become inactive. I hope they can release something next year, I guess it depends on contracts and YG.

BTW, BP didn't come back 200 years ago, they came back in the September of last year, that all slipped into this year, in case yall bafoons can't count. NJ released Attention, Hybe Boy and Cookie around the same time and Ditto 2-3 month later in December. The only big additions this year are OMG, Super Shy and ETA. So what's even the argument here? It is 3 songs vs all the previous discography of BP.

Weak argument. It is not like they have 100 songs vs Newjeans 20 songs.

+ Newjeans had two releases this year - OMG early 2023 and Get Up. So naturally, newjeans have all the advantage to themselves

I listen to the songs but it is daunting sometimes and significantly harder to stream every single one of them. Plenty of twice songs have quality. I mean their albums have been given petty great reviews and honestly the b sides for the group have gotten better and musically diverse than earlier in their career.
