When they announced Artist of the Year first, I knew NJ was gonna win. Funny thing is they were showing previous Daesang winners acceptance speeches and NJ didn't even bother.

Honestly same, but I wonder if they didn't want to repeat the loss from their beef with Hybe. Last time they got petty BTS and all Hybe groups ignored them for years and made huge achievements. I guess they didn't want to miss out on grabbing NWJN's and missing out on the next group MHJ has planned.

BTS had beef with MBC not MNET. They won Daesangs without attending in 2021.

This is hilarious! As they say, “fck around and find out”.

Let’s be real, if they showed just even a bit of love last year instead of embarrassing them like that the outcome would be diff FRFR.

Attending might have been tough (BBMAs had to push hard for them to participate), but they would have at least sent a thank you video.

Nowadays the biggest acts dont attend their award shows and they dont have the power to give it to somebody else either. What a big L for them.

They deserve all these for being the most clown and unfair "big" korean award show previously

I shoulda known this highway robbery was gonna happen when Ive suspiciously decided not to attend. One reason for not attending was the extreme difficulty in preparing for two different stages back to back with MMA happening in just three days, i feel like acts had to choose one or the other to attend (Gidle and LSRFM for MAMA and NJ, Ive, and Aespa for MMA).

But for Ive, i think another reason was that MNET let Starshit know that NJ was gonna win all the daesangs and even the female group award and Starshit noped out lol. Ive will win something on Saturday, maybe even a daesang (they are within striking distance for SOTY again).

Well... I admit that I listened to NewJeans a lot on Spotify this year, while I was drawing.

I especially listened to Ditto.

There has never been a more correct award than Ditto winning Song of the Year because it is dang MASTERPIECE.

Also as much as I joke about NJ, I'm happy they won Artist of the Year. That said objectively speaking I would've given the vote to IVE since in terms of discography I feel they had a stronger year, but Ditto and OMG alone carries a hell of a ton of weight. Can't scoff at NJ and well deserved!
