I didn't like it, it's certainly not the best song in years.

It's a shame, I really liked MAGO and Maniac a lot, yet both songs seemed to do so much worse than they deserved to

Lol, it's just people preferences and their songs was definitely not it. They're not some no name nugu and they have everything to explode in popularity during their debut with all that attention they have from their sudden disbandment. Yet their songs still didn't take off well and part of it obviously because of their annoying chipmunks vocals. Not everyone can stand that type of vocals and their best vocalist in Gfriend are gone.

And their songs are definitely not even close to any of their peak. Even their own fans dislike it and didn't support it that much, why should everyone else care, then?

It’s definitely better than their previous release but their debut song is still the superior track also I agree on the fact that their vocals are kind of annoying sometimes

Yes, its most probably the best song released currently. Its catchy, but unfortunately getting people to listen to it for a couple of times is difficult.

I get what you mean about some songs doing better just because the group is trending. Like if IVE released this song, yes, there would be more than 4.8 million views on YouTube by now. That said, it's not that great a song in my opinion, it's pretty average. Would have been better as a b-side. Viviz has enough name recognition that a lot of general Kpop fans will give their new releases a shot, but not a huge, hardcore fanbase that will help them win music shows for mediocre tracks. They need better songs if they want to do better.

And yes the counter-point is that many other groups out there don't have the vocals, and whilst broadly accurate, the other groups seem to have better song/production choices that mask the vocals better, or they just have such a different musical style that the thin/similar sounding vocals are kind of fitting (the newjeans scenario).

Everytime I listen to a Viviz song the overriding thought in my mind is - this song would be so much better with a proper vocalist in it somewhere. It's not fun to listen to songs going 'what if'.

as a massive fan of gfriend's discography, viviz has felt very nugu sounding to me since the start. some bops here and there but nothing outstanding.
