This is gonna be a hit lol, book it. The combination of fun catchy song + dance + mv + the buzz created from the trashy lyrics generating “outrage” and simultaneously promoting the song in the process + a top gg releasing it means this is gonna chart very well. Longevity we’ll have to see but soyeon seems to have bagged herself yet another hit lol

Banger

Blop. The repetitive part kinda annoying and the lyrics, ughh cringe. But I enjoy some part of this song just it is less banger than tomboy and nxde for me.

It wasn't that bad... I was expecting the worst based on another thread...

One thing for sure Soyeon knows how to compose songs but lyrics aren't her thing

Musically Allergy is miles better. Maybe they will switch and promote Allergy instead.

They will do well while promoting, as they have 5 yr old fandom and know how to get PAKs, but this song will drop after promotions finish.

Don't know if the sexy concept is what they should be pushing, but they see that its working [globally] for Twice and stepped it up another level.

It's like they kept using tomboy's structure for the nth time and added a bit more horrible lyrics

I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about. Twice have never done an actual sexy concept. They certainly ain't singing about how hot their body parts are while wearing bikinis.

I kinda like it, especially the verses and the instrumental. The very last part is great too.

I think it is really not for everyone tho, I understand why people hate it or find it cringe, and it is not a very deep song

About the MV, actually I'm maybe somewhat disappointed as the tone is totally different from Allergy. But it still looks great. Miyeon is breathtaking

I wish some Korean songwriters could understand how cringe their english lyrics sound to native speakers. Like c'mon "I'm twerking on the run way", "i'm hot my booty booty"

They asked some people, and the response is Tomboy image is still going strong with them,

while Mijoo said, she will beat their ass if suddenly Gidle using a pure or innocent concept (joking of course)

So just because the MV has a dance battle it's a White Chicks reference? I'm not buying that. No attempt is even made to mimic the goofy style of dance from the movie. I think this person is just unconsciously noticing their rapid westernization, that they're styled & acting like stereotypical "white chicks," and hoping it's satire.

It's not.

Nude was basically a love letter to American sex symbols & burlesque culture. Everyone wanted to think it was satirical and that the song had some deep meaning that really wasn't there, but it was obviously just an excuse for them to do a sexy concept with a decidedly western style. This is just more of the same. Soyeon wrote those proudly trashy lyrics because this is what she legitimately wants to be, not what she wants to spoof. She is simply not the clever comedian (or songwriter) they desperately want her to be.

And don't even get me started on the flagrant hypocrisy of the MV's message when certain members, Soyeon included, have been nipping & tucking on a regular basis. Homegirl ain't walking out of that clinic unscathed.

I think you misunderstood what I asked, I meant, "Do people really believe they said boob instead of boobs to be humorous?" because I don't. And I do think the video is comedic.
