I have been saying for years the brand reputation thing is bullshit. Finally y’all are catching on. It has always been a shit metric and I believe the company that runs it must pay Kpop companies to keep running their dumbass ranking. Kpop fans always fall for that shit hook line and sinker because it’s the exact stuff they love to eat up

It means next to nothing. Better indications are just looking on search engines themselves rather than relying on a dumb aggregate line that company. It does nothing to lessen the actual popularity of the members that are usually on the list anyways and ignores dumb arbitrary numbers that company makes up

There is no easy way to measure "popularity" or "relevance".
It's like the debate about the definition of obscenity we had in the 80s when the Christian Coalition was going nuts trying to ban records and movies - very difficult to come up with a definition that satisfies everyone. So i just go by the standby definition that is most practical: You know it when you see it.

As I understand it it has to do with stage names they used use their full names or something like that
if cube, sm official accounts have posted it about this there has to be some accuracy at least it's based on certain criteria.
