I'm biased obviously but I think most people would pick 2021 Aespa.
They broke the stranglehold that third gen had for so long. Bagged a ton of awards, including daesangs and iirc a grand slam of the rookie awards. The highest selling debut album ever at the time with Savage (and I think top 1 or 2 in gg sales for the year).
Next Level having the weirdest success story by climbing the charts slowly and finally topping it more than a month after release, then never winning on any music shows but getting daesangs. Also huge longevity on the charts. Holding their own against titans of the industry in BTS and IU with Next Level and Savage.
Gidle had a phenomenal 2022, but were matched and/or even surpassed by Ive and New Jeans in terms of best 2022.

I think Aespa
because 2021 was huge for them in digital, they were competing with BTS when they released Next Level but also in physicals sales, their first mini album is literally one of the best selling album gg from 3rd gen and 4th gen
also i feel like Aespa peak just feel much bigger because 3rd gen was still going strong and Aespa in 2021 was the first time when a 4th gen group really felt like a potential threat to 3rd gen group domination
G-idle only had a great years in term of charting and digital
but they are still behind other 4th gen GG in sales

I feel so many GG songs were a hit when Gidle had a hit. It was the year of the 4th gen GGs. So they just felt like one among many. And if you ask who dominated 2022 ppl are more likely to say IVE or NJ than Gidle.
With aespa it was just them that year and they seem to have broken the barrier between 3rd and 4th gen.
