I was tidying my kpop bookshelves this morning and going through some of the kpop albums I've bought and realised how much some groups albums stand out in terms of physical quality. By physical I mean how sturdy and well made everything is, the quality of materials etc. Not necessarily the "quality" of the images in photobooks/cards or the quality of the music itself.
Dreamcatcher, for a less popular group from a small company has fantastic quality albums. The boxes are sturdy and well put together. The internal contents are always top class, with some interesting and thoughtful add ins and the requisite photobooks are properly bound. Good paperstock. Their non album special packages like Mysterious Mansion are even higher quality.
Blackpink also has high quality album components and items, as befitting the biggest, most popular GG. The pack ins are also good quality but not always as imaginative as DC. The photobooks, naturally, are great quality. Although the boxes the albums are in aren't as sturdy and can damage easier.
On the complete other end of the spectrum, the quality of Itzy's albums usually disappoints. Usually just the photobook in shrink wrap, with the photocards and extras between the pages. The extras also aren't super inspiring. Usually stickers and lyrics sheets. If they do come in boxes, like Loco, they are awful quality boxes and squish easily.
And while I never got to grab a copy, have to say Bibi's Lowlife Princess Prohibit version looked tops.
