Was curious what % the big 4/5 had based on Circle/gaon's end of the yr album sales - at least the top 100. so i made some pie charts.

Because the BTS' one are including the soloists, while Seulgi, Nayeon are separated from their respective groups.

Or the other way around, how the pie chart would look like if you separate the BTS soloists number with the group.

Txt and Enhypen are roughly having same power, while newjeans and le sserafim will grow. Seems like Hybe's decision to have several groups are working quite well.

On SM's side, aespa really did well, as they now have established themselves as SM main act.

For JYP, Stray Kids is their biggest shot now, while Itzy is not the flops like the folks said. Even tho Nmixx may need to... Idk keep up, mainly with their fellow 4th gen babies.

And both BP and IVE are YG and Starship's backbone this year. I wonder how would BP do with TBL and also curious how will IVe grows in this year...

StayC is okay, and I hope Kep1er could gather as many sales as they could before their time ends

Also I'd like to see Ateez and Gidle being the dark horse in 2023

I was also surprised that we had that many 5million + sales groups this year- Seventeen, Stray kids, NCT dream and BTS.

i'll have this as a reference to compare to 2023 so that'll be interesting

OH. i think i added Nayeon's to twice's total - couldnt make up my mind if i should keep them seperate or together. thanks for catching that, i'll fix it.

* originally i had all the solos for BTS, red velvet, GG, twice etc combined with the group total, but changed my mind last second cus i think it's better to see the solo sales.

I got most but forgot BTS and you caught twice. thanks.

images were updated - i double checked and i mistakenly used the 1.6 mil for the chart and it's been fixed.

the total numbers were unaffected tho - i double checked those as well.

They're under the Kakao umbrella. Idk the details of their relationships - whether they fund them or not or how much Kakao has a say in management but i do think Kakao profits from Starship- so it seemed appropriate to have them together as Kakao/Starship.
