Brave Brothers and Brave ent making losses the previous years (-1mil loss in 2020). only got saved because Brave Girls recently made a lot of profit(+11mil profit in 2021). The company now use that money for their other activities like their brother group.
That is basicly what hybe is doing with BTS earned money.

in the early stage looking at Pledis or Source Music results we could be concerned
but nowadays it seems that
investment made by SouMu, and good moves by ADOR
are/will come back to company soon because pretty sure that Le Sserafim next album will have crazy sales, and NewJeans will probably have 1.5 if not 2M sales with next comeback
ah forgot to add, that Pledis needs to quickly make decisions about their GG, either renew that contract with fromis right now, or already think about how to market new gg.

No doubt multi armys or company Stans would feel that way.
Any army that has kept up with BTS solo works would know Hybe didn’t treat them properly at all. Hobi being a number one example. Guess it’s forgettable and not a priority for some armys when they feel like their other faves are called out.

to my (albeit limited) knowledge most kpop companies operate like this that they use the profits from existing groups to debut new groups
and thus BTS being Hybe's most successful group it's obvious Hybe is using those profits to further their diversification strategy no?

I was not trying to address anything regarding diversification. We need actual Hybe reports for that to see how much it has actually worked. I was only addressing the part I mentioned in my OP that being BTS saving their asses and protecting their profit from deficit.

I think that would be classified company information and not likely released to the public
and I don't think anybody will disagree that Hybe is Hybe right now only because of BTS aka BTS made Hybe what it is today

Hybe reveals % during their annual reports. They usually mention oh we have stopped depending on bts by this many percent etc.
I am only upset at Hybe for how their solos are not getting enough support as group releases do

Tbh they are very sneaky bcos they report indirect BTS related sales under Weverse and not BTS to show that they have lessened their dependence.

but, this report doesn't really say any hybe company is operating at a loss this year. hybes overall profit went down, obviously, bc bts had one release that wasn't standard kpop rollout, and didn't tour. ador and source were only noted as being in a deficit in 3rd quarter iirc. i doubt either company has a loss for the whole year. just pointing that out. i feel like the main takeaway here is that bts' inactivity as a group is felt, rather than that every other hybe company is not pulling their own weight.
