I don't pay close attention to sales, etc. But I'm thinking LOONA is pretty much done aren't they? Fromis_9 doesn't have much longer I'm thinking unless their next comeback is amazing. Losing Gyuri sucks. OMG look just about done. Is Weeekly going to be on a week by week status? TRIBE? Woo!ah! released two amazing songs last year but got paid with dust. Brave Girls got a second chance but they just showed how difficult it is to keep the public's interest. I'm sure there are others but those are who I can remember at the moment.
Which girl groups, that you are a fan of, do you think might not survive this era much longer?

brave girls only problem is brave ent is sabotage them.
each member probably still made 500k this year. give them 2 comebacks per year. if they do well its nice. if not they are still popular enough with the public to get invited to tv-shows and festivals. i see no reason they cant keep going for a few more years.

I am worried about Cherry Bullet. Their last comeback did a bit better than usual but now they are locked in FNC dungeon since March 2021.

Itzy will be fine, Billlie will be fine, Purki lost a member but I think they will be fine, Kep1er will be fine (well, fine as you can be as a short term group ig).
I'm not sure how XG sells. I see that they have released physicals of their singles before, but idk what the numbers are. I can't find anything.
Still, I think they'll be fine as well.

I'm really worried for Cherry Bullet and Rocket Punch. Both groups are amazing but they've been around for a while and I doubt their companies are making any profit out of their activities
At least some members from both groups are on Girls RE:VERSE now
woo!ah! is one the rare mid tier groups that are doing better and better each comeback and their sales are reaching a point where the activities might be quite financially stable. It honestly makes sense because the members are talented and the music quality is undeniable. If this group were to flop and disband then there would be truly no hope left for new groups in k-pop.
They might break 50k sales on their next release. I don't think they are going anywhere.

I think financially they are quite profitable - Sequence sold nearly 200k copies, by far their biggest sales yet. The sales have been steadily increasing over the years. I don't think Starship has any reason to not support the activities of WJSN fully.
However the contract renewal is a bit concerning, I have a bad feeling some members will not renew, eg. Bona. I could completely understand that decision too, she had a proper actress breakthrough and long term it would make all the sense in the world for her to focus on that. As much as it pains me as a WJSN fan.

LOONA will obviously walk, WJSN and Fromis_9 are successful enough to continue but as often happens members may walk away from idol life (Jiho Oh My Girl for example). I personally think WJSN won't be able to get all members to re-sign someone like Dawon I feel may go. Fromis_9 look happy at the moment but you just never know...
The girl group universe is amazing and depressing at the same time, they have so many great songs and members but they also suffer a lot
I mean look at a group like Hot Issue they were so good barely had a chance
Well not offering new deal for WJSN would be Starship's big mistake because as they need IVE active in music, the same way they need WJSN active not only on stage but also acting, of course they can move some girls to King Kong which is their division for actors, but it won't be the same and people will then talk that because of member X, Y, and Z group disbanded because they decided to be actresses
As for LOONA well their case can go left or right, maybe they will be let free and some big company will grab them, or they will need to sit down until contract expires, which will make Chuu a winner of whole situation, and it will in same time be a huge tragedy for 11 members... unless Heejin or Hyejuu will make it to the top 5 in Girl's Re:Verse survival then at least they could be in that project group for some time.
fromis with that sudden hiatuses of some members and some controversies with walking around town with male Idols here and there are kind of in a downfall, but hopefully they can get a really good song, at least on "Feel Good" level for next comeback, rank somewhat high on Melon, and attract some new fans

XG have almost a million subs on Youtube all of their random content vids go over 100k viewed and the singing ones go over a million. They must be a pretty popular group
yeah I'm just curious if/how that translates physically and monetarily. Views are nice, but good sales are even more important.
still, they are succeeding at getting that international appeal they've been aiming for. Hopefully that will sustain them well.
