There is no "see blocked content" anymore. That got taken out in one of the changes to the block feature.

I think the feature is useful, and a good alternative to bans. Bans are not needed if people can block the users who get them triggered.

Though what would be interesting is if blocks were time limited and required to be renewed, like every year or something. I know there are a couple of users who have me blocked and I'm not sure they even remember why (I know I don't). But whatever it was, it surely occured like two years ago.

It used to be easier before but it’s hard with current rules you really can’t see content from ppl you’ve blocked.

Before you could go on incognito and see threads now incognito will only show first page so block truly does mean block. Lololol

No, why should we? It's the best feature of any site in my opinion. One should not have to put up with trolls or hateful people/comments.

Absolutely not

It's not just for ignoring people who dont like your group, it's a god damned safety feature.

We have underage and very young posters on this board, and some much older members.

Hypothetically, and I hope it doesnt happen, but if one of the older members were sending creepy, offensive or gross messages to a younger member, that member should have a way to immediate block that person.

Among other scenarios.

It shouldn't be removed just because trolls are starved for attention

Anyone who thinks that removing a block feature is a great idea… well they’re a fucking moron. It’s meant to keep people safe. Trolls I can deal with, but when someone fucks so badly with your mental health, they deserve the block.

Drew, learn how to deal with people ignoring your existence. Your threads are tiring, you are tiring and even without the block feature I don't think people will want to deal with you.

You'll just be ignored knowing that people see you and now they don't even care enough to reply to your bs.

Blocking people will hinder my perception of the bigger picture. As a principle I do not block a data stream.

But blocking people gives people the allowance to distance themselves from people, analogous to being able to walk away from a conversation in real life and not hear what comes out of a person's mouth. Taking that feature away will hinder membership numbers as people will simply walk away from the platform itself if unable to escape a person they do not want any contact with.

Edit: Drew, You have a long and storied reputation to wash off. I will not spare my luck for you but it will be for the best if you can clean it off in a timely manner.

These customizations shouldn’t have been made to core functions. I don’t view it as more complete, but instead a downgrade. Until these changes can be reverted, the block feature will now have to be disabled completely.

The block feature is a core function for literally every forum, app, website, and social platform. No one should be forced to deal with annoying people. It's not really "custom" feature, it's a basic one.
