I know boy groups have been doing dark concept for a while now, and I'm aware that the concept didn't "start" with one group. But obviously there's been a trend of that said concept and I'm not sure why.

K-pop surely needs this group more than ever now, their lyrics were always so powerful. 
Dark concepts have been around since 1st generation kpop, and continue onto this day. However maybe not so heavy as say around the 2nd generation and beginning of 3rd generation.
These didnt kick start it however some these vids definitely had a dark concept from violence to haunting ones.

Over the years both with boys groups and girl groups, concepts kinda just cycles round in a particular with different variations atleast from what I've seen from the last 12 almost 13 years I've been into kpop.
Dark concepts have existed before I became fan, coincidently it was DBSK triangle that I first watched which has a darker edge to it.

Finally someone said B.A.P. Btw as a Babyz since pre debut, i wouldn't say Warrior/Power is "Dark", but "Strong/Intense" concept.
