The reason is definitely their og contract that leaves everything in yg hands though. We saw it with Dj Snake, SG had been in works since 2019 and it was delayed due being re recorded with new features and yg not allowing Lisa to release it. At least with a new contract, the girls will be in charge of their solo career if yg wants them re signing, since it is the minimum that they could offer

Teddy is responsible for their music so perhaps teddy canned those collabs cause they weren't anything special

Ok here's what i am thinking for bp based on their schedule.

1. Born Pink tour ends in July with encore.

2. Empty period in Feb and April mean something. Possible release in either of months.

3. April coachella headlining two weeks (paul tollett went to korea to invite blackpink)

(possible the first stage of release will be at coachella. Maybe even a collaboration with western artist).

4. September Town Brazil attendance. Mtv vma attendance before that? It fits.

5. jisoo solo release after tour.

Not going to be a bad year activity wise imo for them.

It's not impossible, Coachella usually have a special treatment for certain acts

Why I'm thinking one night performance at Coachella is cause of the Tokyo dome concerts on April 8/9

I can see them releasing new music April 14 instead & headline Coachella on April 21/22 😌

Born Pink tour can't end July since we still have LATAM in aug/sept + Seoul stadium encore show in Oct (jisoo solo first performance there 🤔)
