im genuinely asking because i have no idea about how both group doing in term of digital physical etc despite listening to their discography and stanning some member. i just know that NCT DREAM is going to have a concert in a big ass stadium where only BTS,EXO,JYJ and some top boy group managed to have a concert there so this is really impressing but it is indicating that they're also bigger than SVT which is the third biggest boygroup after BTS and EXO ?
is NCT DREAM bigger than SEVENTEEN in South Korea?

Dream is playing the Olympic Stadium because they had to cancel their 3 night show at the Skydome because of Covid. They're doing 2 nights which will accommodate everyone who got tickets to the Skydome shows and potentially allow more of the 1.5 million people who tried to buy tickets another chance.

I live in SK and have since before either group debuted, they're basically the same level of popularity in terms of fandom size. NCT Dream may have a slightly bigger fandom but Seventeen is more well-known to the GP. They probably are competing for 3rd biggest fandom behind BTS/LYW but they're not close to either of them.

Group wise, I don't know who is bigger, but i think most nct members are individually more known than seventeen members. But one thing I do know is that people tend to down play nct as a whole a lot. Nct 127 held a two day sold out concert in Tokyo dome (one of the biggest domes in japan), the only kpop boy groups that have done it in history are tvxq, suju, bigbang, shinee,Exo,Bts and 2pm. Now nct dream is using a venue only H.o.t, g.o.d, shinhwa,Jyj, Exo and bts were the only other groups to fill it up . So I say they are definitely doing better than most people think

I think it's more or less similar.

Probably not bigger, similar, but it could be argued. Seeing statistically, SVT’s English single has been charting on melon daily for nearly 3+ months. Hot, is still charting for months now as well. World, keeps winning on melon weekly popularity chart and is now tied with Tomboy. They have the 2nd most streamed song by a boy group after Still Life by Big Bang. In comparison, I think the longest charting for NCT Dream was Glitch Mode for 2 months.
Their physicals are close to each other, but SVT still takes the lead 200k-400k overall.
In terms of fandom size, I’d say they are around the same.
Touring in South Korea, though both sold out Gocheok Sky Dome, but Dream takes the wheel since they are playing at the Jamsil Olympic stadium.
General public popularity, Seventeen is bigger than Dream since nearly everyone knows Seungkwan for his variety skills and entertainment. Plus, their variety show, Going Seventeen. People often compare it to Running Man and Knowing Bros due to its performance and entertainment qualities.
I’d say both are very close contenders, but for now it’s probably Seventeen.
