A song doesn’t need to have a hard bass drop to be good. But please stop hyping up flat and boring songs just to fill this void
One person's trash is another person's treasure. I'd ask you why you find it so offensive that people who like different things want to hype the things they like. The tables can and will turn in another instance. How will you respond then?

I’ve often been the unpopular opinion with a lot of music so I’m kinda used to it LOL (stream Sneakers btw). But in all seriousness, yes taste is subjective and not everyone likes the same thing.

For me Ive and Lesserafim are the perfect balance
I’m still bothered by the headache inducing screeching sound in the dance break of Love Dive but the rest of the song is perfection. I do agree though that Ive and Lesserafim are the perfect balance

I think sometimes we just want music that is nice and easy to listen to! Most of the music I listen to would fall under that category because I usually use music as something in the background as I do other things.

Nice and easy to listen to music can be good, and theres a difference between that and just plain boring and flat.

Because it is easy to listen to and generally the instrument parts and vocal parts are cleaner. So it is not tiring while listening. A song doesn't have to be complicated to be a good song. Sometimes is simple is better. For example the songs released this year are Fearless and Love Dive. The instrument parts in both songs are very catchy and enjoyable to listen to, yes there is no major strong energy, but the songs are still very good.
