What does LOVE DIVE have that ICY didnt have ?

Both DD and 11 ate partly the result of hype, DD more bc 11 started low but the song on itself make it easier for people so it become a hit, Ive follow up with a similar sound, easy to digest so it become a hit

DD is also a very jarring song much like icy was, jyp wanted to follow that structure but icy didn't have the hype of newly jyp gg+twice sister group+ryujin coming from mixnine so it's didn't work to put mad music twice

U can notice the change from icy to wannabe musically (not in the theme tho) so it become more popular internationally but in Korea it isn't really the biggest hit. So far itzy hasn't top it and Korea in general seem to lose more and more interest in them

Better vocals + no jarring raps + no weird “experimental” instrumental sounds + easier to listen to

I do prefer icy’s mv tho, and yeji with that yellow tube top and high pigtail braids on top of that van is still the 🐐

I like most of Itzy, but ICY was bad decision.

Chorus and verses are cringe and disaster, too much noise in the chorus, it should've been a drop chorus or different, for me only pre-chorus is good - when they show their vocals, otherwise really bad song.

Love dive doesn't have disturbing or cringe parts, everything is build up well, verses, prechorus, chorus and after chorus.

Song quality wise both are at the same level, but Love Dive is just simply more addicting and catchy song, it has more magical, euphorical feel to it, it is very pleasing to listen to, for Icy i think one problem with jyp ggs are i think jyp make them sing shout, they seem to sing their ggs so high that it sometimes sounds grating and sounds like shouting so it doesn't sometimes feel very pleasant.

i mean people are only comparing the songs witch is definitely fair, but the truth is, ive members are much more popular and trendy than itzy members. wonyoung has always been popular, yujin was also in izone and came to the group with a fandom, leeseo blew up, liz, rei and gaeul are also members that people like. itzy was very much the ryujin show with yeji in the periphery. yuna was the most popular visual member, but charyeong was almost invisible and lia was always a bit contentious from what i remember, even more so after the the bullying scandal. in kpop popularity and trendiness trumps all.

jype doesn't know how to get their girl out there t keep up the hype. they're already majorly failing sullyoon. they don't want another suzy but another suzy is what they need tbh. and they need to put groups together where even with a suzy (like wonyoung kind of is to ive), the other members are also able to hold their own popularity.

Eleven did amazing good, is still 15 daily on melon after more than 5 months and thats even with Lim Young-woong comeback yesterday, the song has some amazing longevity
