My fave kpop YouTuber kpop stuffs took 30+ hours for this. Full credits to them. Votes is people who voted for the groups to be analysed. So many great groups like Mamamoo and Btob probably didn't make it because of lack of fan voting. He/she has explained the diversity score in the Google document in the description box under the video. The information I have here is from their Google doc that im unable to link. It's an extremely good read. They mention every single song they analysed under their respective genres.
Since the diversity score is confusing. I've ranked it on the number of genres. It's really really well done. Check it out.
Girl groups
1. Twice
Votes: 60
Songs Covered: 99
Number of genres: 30
Diversity: 30.30%
Although often excluded from diversity conversations, the nation’s girl group have covered their fair share of sounds, from the signature electropop to tracks dabbling in dubstep, funk, doo wop, and more.
votes : 743
Songs Covered: 86
Number of genres: 29
Diversity: 33.7%
While known to be the most conceptually diverse girl group, their music sits solidly in two genres: the “red” electropop sound and the “velvet” r&b. This doesn’t mean they haven’t explored electronic and retro themes, giving them a reliable yet exciting discography.
3. LOONA (includes subunits and solos)
Votes: 360
Songs Covered: 55
Number of genres: 25
Diversity: 45.45%
Not only do they cover a ton of genres, they have covered genres not many kpop artists, if any, even try to do. They still have a group sound, however, with much of their music involving enchanting, dreamy synths and effects. They have diversity that rivals the biggest artists.

Without having much of a set concept or sound, CLC lends themselves to an incredibly varied playlist. From the ever trendy trap sound to fresh synth pop, their short but sweet discography earns a spot on this list.
Votes: 116
Songs Covered: 43
Number of genres: 17
Diversity: 39.53%
For a group with an undoubtedly signature rock sound, they sure do have diversity to rival the masses. With constant experimenting in electronic genres, their discography makes for an exciting rollercoaster unlike many other kpop groups.
Boy groups
1. BTS
votes : 437
Songs Covered: 132
Number of genres: 32
Diversity: 24.24%
From the beginning, BTS have had their sights set on a hip hop sound, which they have done perfectly a thousand times over. With plenty of dabbling of genres across the board, you can expect a signature sound that spans the entire industry of music.
1.Stray Kids (BTS and skz have both done roughly 32 genre's)
Votes: 340
Songs Covered: 66
Number of genres: 32
Diversity: 48.48%
With only about 3 years under their belt, Stray Kids have managed to experiment with a plethora of electronic genres, often blending multiple sounds in every song. In recent releases they’ve settled more into a signature electronic trap theme, but they have no shortage of variety.
2. Seventeen
Votes: 176
Songs Covered: 83
Number of genres: 21
Diversity: 25.3%
Seventeen’s unit structure lends itself to a nice spread of sounds, with songs dabbling in electronic, hip hop, and downtempo genres. They all come together to have a group sound consisting of mellow electropop and upbeat funk.
3. EXO
Votes: 114
Songs Covered: 103
Number of genres: 20
Diversity: 19.4%
Being the oldest group on this list, they’ve fully developed their own sound. With little exploration into electronic genres and the usual SM genre blending, this vocal forward group pulls off smooth and slow tunes best.
4. NCT 127
Votes: 180
Songs Covered: 59
Number of genres: 19
Diversity: 32.20%
The noise label is a bit misplaced; their speciality lies in groovier retro genres with sprinkles of hip hop, funk, and experimental tracks. NCT’s discography does not shy away from any sound and is worth a bit of exploration.
