Do you call others "son" or "daughter"?

I was talking to my br friends about how we can't really express ourselves in English that accurate bc it won't make sense to you guys kkkk.

We literally call each other son and daughter, but not in a humiliation way, just like bro, sis, etc. and this made me think: "yes, unfortunately things won't work the way i want" kkkkk

Anyways, it's funny no? How we can communicate with each other, but never in the same way as we communicate with others who speak our language.

I find it interesting, but difficult at the same time. Damn, let's normalize calling others sons and daughters kkkkkkkk

I don't think we have anything comparable to this. When you call somebody son/daughter, everyone is going to assume that that's indeed your son/daughter you're talking to. Same goes for endearments like auntie. The person has to be your actual aunt, otherwise people are going to be very confused.
