She's an ok rapper, lisa is too. There is no better rapper in the group. I honestly dont like both of their rapping but I think it's because of the horrible lyrics the song writers give them. She did write her own rap for The show Solo ver and it was ok not anything spectacular.

why shouldnt she is the question.

it's simple, most girl rappers, including soyeon, rap with a very nasally voice, which to a lot of people is not pleasing to hear. Jennie's rapping tone is much more pleasant. Also a lot of kpop listeners are international, and jennie can rap in perfect English.

Because she's a good rapper? Especially for K-Pop standards.

The rapping into shouting thing is a hype thing, depending on the type of song. If it's intended to be a loud and hype part, like her D4 rap, then you go loud, it's dynamics. Also, with the added guitars in the live version, if she didn't go as loud as she does, she'd get lost in the mix. Forever Young is a song where she doesn't go loud because she doesn't have to, she does it at "say life's a bitch" to emphasize the line.

This isn't as impactful as this.

Also the writing, her writing 2 verses (Lovesick Girls and SOLO) is literally already more than other female idol rappers do.

jennie rarely messes up the lyrics. ive seen it happen but its cos she got japanese/korean versions mixed up. most of the time shes fine tho. mistakes happen

I, for one, appreciate the fact that she doesn't change her voice to sound more nasally/ whiny like a lot of female rappers tend to do. I find that so annoying.

The only song I didn't like her rap was in Whistle because it was too old YG swag like.

In all the other songs she is good.

not really. A lot of times when she gets hyped she just goes straight into shouting territory.

If your not a BP fan in kpop, you most likely don't really think BP is that talented at rapping but they mostly get a by because they are from YG which is know for its rappers. Not really seen many lives of her (since YG mostly doesn't let them) but of the 21? (all I remember is they have less songs than NCT has members) songs they have, which few I have seen them do live I can't recall seeing her or Lisa breathing hard or struggling to get through the lines which most see as a sign of a good rapper, but that's kinda a low bar.

Is she on the level of the other rappers mentioned (or known ones)who are also known for writing their own stuff and well recognised for their talent like Soyeon, CL, Miryo, LE or Moonbyul.....weirdly for a 5 year old group, we haven't seen enough to know which is why there is still debate.
