All of the members are so confident and stable, which makes their encores so much fun to watch! You can really enjoy them as fun, informal performances. STAYC has always been talented vocally, but it's really wonderful to see the members grow and become more secure in their abilities. Wishing them the best with this comeback and in the future!

I couldn't find a thread that was related to this although there prob already is one, but I just wanted to write out my thoughts on the meaning of the Ditto and OMG music videos. I think that both are looking at the phenomenon of the relationship between musicians and their fans, particularly in the unique context of K-pop.
For me, Ditto was more about the experience of being a fan and finding a balance between living in the fantasy world provided by being a fan—which can serve as an escape when the real world is too much, and can provide magic and joy—and engaging with your life and the people who are actually around you. Both kinds of connection are real, and Heesoo's memories with NewJeans are still important to her and meaningful when she is an adult, but you can't substitute one for the other.
OMG on the other hand is focused on the perspectives of the NewJeans members as they adjust to their new reality as idols. When you exist in front of so many people, there is necessarily a kind of fracturing of self—or maybe, the creation of new selves. With a focus on Hanni's opening concept of being a "iPhone" (being a kind of receptacle for other people's hopes, dreams, thoughts, etc.), the MV cycles through all of the member's different understandings of what's happening to them. All of these different selves exist in tandem. The two performance videos show both the isolation of being an idol (the scene of them dancing with a holiday party behind them seems to represent their music being played by people in the real world, but they can't engage, only perform) and the fact that they're still real people who would otherwise just be going to school and performing covers with their friends (they don't sing the words in ver 2).
This is so long but what do others think? Did you like the videos/do you see them going together?
It’s remarkable how much Blackpink accomplished so much so quick. I mean sometimes I think about how hard the girls work (because IMO hard work isn’t correlated to the amount of comebacks you have, since groups can half-ass the effort they put into them, but anyway...), how vigorous their pre-debut training was, and to see how far they’ve come makes me so happy for them and as a blink.
I mean... I just wanted to make an appreciation thread for them and show them a lil’ love. It’s truly deserved.
-First Kpop group to chart in the Canadian Hot 100
-Insane YouTube views (not surprising for the highest subscribed Korean artist, second highest artist of all time!). First Kpop group to have 1 billion views, and remain the Koop group with the most videos past 1 billion views.
-We can’t forget Pinkchella Coachella!! They were so free, the audience was SO engaged, every single performance blew me away. My favorites:

-Before I get into any of their achievements CAN I JUST MENTION how each member has such individual branding?! All of them endorse luxury, high end (read: not fake) brands. It’s really funny how they’re called IG models yet some other fandoms can only wish the same for their groups. Anyway.
-First Kpop gg to be recognized by the RIAA for the legendary D4 that went gold and really pushed their career.
-Highest charting single (digital song sales) for HYLT: debuted at No. 2!
-All songs from The Album rank on BB’s Global 200 and BB Global Excl U.S. The Album also is the first gg album since 2016 to chart at least 5 months on the BB 200 chart.
-Best selling gg in 2020 for both digital and physical (As of Jan 6th: 1,724,461 album sales; 1,415,968,774 digital points).
-QUEEN LSG remains the longest charting gg song on MelOn Top 10 history (19 weeks... *chef’s kiss*).
-GG with the most entries on Spotify Daily Chart since launch (16 entries out of 23 songs...eye-) (1,070 cumulative days).
-GG with the most entries on Spotify Weekly Chart (2 weeks).
-They have 8/10 songs that were the fastest to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify for a female gg.
-Only took 5 months for The Album to pass 1.2 billion streams on Spotify; the second fastest girl group was 17 months. They said social distancing, what about it?
-The Ablum is the best selling album by a Korean female act in history.
-Japan: 5 songs that are RIAJ certified (2 are Korean versions!)
I’ll stop here because my hands hurt from writing all of this.
Anything could happen, but I think BTS will be the last to disband, if they disband at all. I could definitely see them just not releasing music/having group activities for long stretches of time when they're older and then coming together every once in a while for anniversaries, special occasions, etc.
I hadn't read Hwaa's lyrics because when I first watched the MV they weren't uploaded yet, but I just rewatched with the subtitles on and woah. I already loved the song, but the lyrics, combined with the melody/music and the visual aesthetic, really make it a masterpiece in my opinion. The imagery is so beautiful — the ice melting and the flowers blooming, not as a passive, inevitable change but rather as a representation of power and self-actualization.
