I never thought about this before, but now that I am, this doesn’t surprise me a lot. A lot of artists are looking into/have done concept changes recently and considering Stray Kids’ success with that song, it makes sense. I’m sure maybe even the members of these groups might like those songs too. Not to mention, when people change concepts, it tends to be almost entirely from cute to darker, not the other way around. Lastly, some boy groups have similar concepts, so if they want similar success, asking for a song like that makes complete sense. Have a great day/night!
