Groups that barely attend to Korean variety shows?

I wish they would appear on more show and not only once with each comeback.

If we can talk reality for a second...
Top groups will have a higher appearance fee then the rest of the groups.
And it's only normal.
Unless the group (and the company behind them) is willing to waive the fee...
Let's take Twice as an example, their fee is in the hundred k at least (USD)
But Chaeng appeared on that YT show because it was her friend. I doubt the channel could afford to hire her.
And so on...for other members and other groups.
It would make no sense for JYPe to send Twice to a show when they are better kept safe. Virus and all that jazz.
They have a concert lined up soon.

The big Variety shows doesnt pay anything but standard fees for anyone if that. Most appear because they are promoting something or its a chance to grow their public recognition.
Majority of the idols/groups are of little interest for the shows as they do little rating wise.

I have never heard of any big show paying anything extraordinary for guests. Celebritys mainly turn up because its a huge chance to market themselves or promote whatever drama or music they are releasing. Very few celebs actually impact ratings to any such degree that it would be worth it for them to payout anything over the top.
Do they get paid? Sure, a couple of thousands dollar per apperance at most. Its been mentioned on running man that the standard guest pay there is about 500usd. Yoo jaesuk is rumoured to make around 10k usd per episode for the shows he hosts, none is going to get paid 10x that for a regular guest appearance.
Shows are run on a tight budget and most of it outside the production costs will go to the hosts.
Last year BTS appeared for a full special on Yoo quiz on the block, followed by an appearance by IU on the same show the week after. Basically the biggest names you can get within two weeks of each other, and i can guarantee they were paid basically nothing for it. They were there because its a popular interview show, hosted by the biggest tv host in korea. A couple of 100ks is probably that entire shows budget for a whole season.

Bigger Idols basically choose whether they want to go or nt. Smaller ones neee to promote themselves so they need to go more
Blackpink basically told YG they wanted to go on variety during lovesick girls era, and so they did.
the bigger artists gets to choose when they want to be on it, meaning it has nth to do with appearence fees or what not, purely decisions by the idols themselves
