SM group always prove everyone's wrong

This is just the narrative SM stans like to repeat to themselves. The fact is SM gives most of their groups relatively 'humble' debuts. Just 1 digital single. The recent exceptions for more bombastic debuts are NCT and EXO. But NCT was too "experimental" so it took time for fangirls to get used to it. And EXO had a hiatus, otherwise they would have become bigger much faster. By the 1st or 2nd full comeback (not "special track") they already have a huge fandom ready to buy whatever it is they are selling. So, it's just timing, has nothing to do with your narrative, as if there was any danger of failure.

SNSD: hated debut + black ocean.
Becomes the biggest and most influential group of their era.

all they left is they need to prove wrong that SM groups doesn't have stage presence, i am waiting
Crazy how a history of years and years of great stages was erased by kpop fans like you because of recent lip-synced mismanaged performances. This is why SM should realize how serious it is smh. It's ruining their brand because of whatever the director thought was unimportant.

I feel like I totally missed the point. How does a modest debut warrant hating in such a manner as the op is describing?

All groups get hate, Big 3s get hate, successful groups get hate. And haters will take any little factor for their hatred. Whether concept (Twice), sales (Red Velvet), visual (GFRIEND), etc.
Just because it takes SM groups some time to be fully established doesn't mean that a certain level of success wasn't already a guaranteed thing in due time, and haters have no influence on it. They are just hot air.

oh good, another company stan threat

By default, SM groups (and esp the girl groups but also the boy groups) have more hate and vicious rumors and hateful narratives launched against them even before their debut and right after, up to the point that they have to suffer even black oceans for the stupidest reasons.
It has become such a pattern, that even with the above average hatred they got thrown towards them compared with other groups by antis and other-company stans, they still manage to grow and thrive and do well.
It's only saddening to see that there are K-pop fans who make it their mission to shade and try to destroy groups and idols even before they debut, for whatever reasons.

I mean they are like the god of all kpop companies so most of their groups always deliver

Lol, imagine thinking that you're so important that anyone has to prove anything to you.
There are thousands of fans around the world that enjoy performances by SM groups, including Aespa and Red Velvet.
Just because you have an opinion on what amazing "stage presence" is doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same way.
You don't like them? All good, don't watch and move on.
I guess that must be difficult when you think everything revolves around you though...
