Why 7th? I suppose if we count Twice/BlackPink/Red Velvet/Mamamoo/Gfriend as the top 5 (I don't think there's any debate about this), and Oh My Girl as a solid 6th (maybe even top 5 now due to 2020 but we'll see what happens this year), I wonder which group is the most popular excluding everyone I stated.
Assuming that 2012 debuts such as AOA and EXID are 2nd Gen, and 2018 debuts such as (G)I-DLE and IZ*ONE are 4th Gen (for the sake of this thread), which 3rd Gen group do you think is 7th?
I was thinking maybe Dreamcatcher? They have been doing better and better every comeback, but they haven't really had their huge break yet? Heck they didn't even have their first win.
WJSN is another group that has good sales, and I think their songs might be more popular than Dreamcatcher? I might be wrong about this. They also have some Chinese fanbase I think but then I'm not sure if you would include that metric in this.
Momoland with their huge hit Bboom Bboom and even Baam is bigger than many songs. But they are on a decline. Sometimes I would liken them to T-ara because T-ara also faced a decline (coz fk Hwayoung that snake), but then again T-ara had multiple hits, Momoland kinda only have 1 (2 if you count Baam). Sales wise they aren't doing well.
Lovelyz maybe? They actually have a huge hit with Ah Choo even though many of you guys probably don't care about it. Sales wise I think they are doing better? They even have a Music Show win this year with Obliviate
