That would be interesting. I mean the people stay anonymous so....

But I can just imagine people making threads on how many people blocked them if it was a huge number or something.

Since I am at the top of discussions all the time. I even have people assuming I have a stalker account (alt)....

So, I guess many people would have me blocked.

i doubt we'd get that feature :-D we can always make a thread in anon section and tag the users :-D i have no one to tag tho, i didn't block anyone : /

I haven’t block anyone yet and really don’t care if anyone block me. It’s a free forum, if people need to block to feel happy or less stress, it’s ok. Let them be.

Note of advice: Don’t be curious and don’t let it bug you if people are blocking you. Its not worth your energy thinking about it

*Sigh*... I remember in the old forums, there used to be one user who posted the "Troll Rankings" every month or so, ranking the top trolls on the forum. Giving people the option to see how many people blocked them feels like it would feed into the competition for achievements among the trolls / spammers of these forums.

It's just another form of self-validation for narcissistic attention-seekers: "I must be so great since so many people have blocked me. Finally, the attention I deserve." Like spoiled little kids who throw tantrums in public and check to see how many adults comply to shut them up.

She wanted to know who blocks her but the mods can’t or won’t tell her. So I offer my service (50 akorns) to block her so at least she knows one person who blocks her.

I don't know, I feel like that will make this forum a little toxic? I don't see that feature will benefit anyone except maybe trolls.

Also maybe instead of that, mods should replace the block button to right under user's name or something for easy access since blocking is the solution for that achievements thread "issue" lmao.

In the end, we dunno each other 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️.

i had to ask too. i didn't want to use it, i was interested in where is the block button, i knew it had to be somewhere :D when i was told where it was i was like, you really want me to think it through :-D

And I think if you visited a user's profile to block them,

then the user would have found out you had blocked them anyways.

It would prolly breach their privacy policy to disclose that.

i don't think that's right. some people have their profiles privated, you just cannot know

Before the update you could just hover over their name and do it from the little mini pop up, but I guess since there's two levels of blocking now they want you to do it from the profile.

You can block people from DMing you, but still see their posts (I think threads show up dimmed) or you can opt to block them completely which basically nukes them from the site for you because not only do threads not show up, but you can't even open their posts in any thread.

I don't even need to go to their profiles. If someone blocks you, you won't see the '+' sign (aka follow button) on their profile. That's how I get to know if someone blocked me or not
