Maybe I'm delusional but I'm hoping both them and my other bias group both don't renew as collective groups and instead find better companies that won't overwork them and underpromote/restrict them as individuals while they can still stick together

i'm sure twice will renew. Well maybe except 1 or 2 members. Twice has still huge sales and dedicated fanbase. After their contract renewal i think they will only have 1 comeback a year and more solo activities. Twice; itzy and upcoming jyp ngg are all different from each other so no problem of fandom overlap. They all appeal to different fans.

If JYP (or whoever makes the decisions at JYP these days) can put his ego to the side and accept Twice's demands they might stay. But they are at the stage where they have earned - at least several times over - the right to dictate their own careers and follow whatever direction they want. If JYP still wants to restrict them in any way, they should move on. They can easily do what Got7 did.

^^^ totally agree. I just want what's best for them. But JYPE made sure to not set these girls up for individual success by limiting any individual activities (hence why many of the members don't have their own "Brand/Image" but rather one as a whole with Twice) if they were to leave JYPE. So it'll be tough for them to move on from JYPE even if they wanted to sadly.

Because JYPe is full of soloist. It brings much less money so it's highly probable that it would never happen.

I believe they will all renew.
JYPE really fucked them over by not giving them any kind of individual brand power. No social media accounts, no solo careers, etc. It's all as they planned. It's easier to pull away from the group if you have those things much like a BP member. Each has their social media accounts/solo careers that can pretty much set their careers for life. That's not the case for Twice. If they were to not renew, I think its more likely they won't renew as a group ala Got7

Can you clarify what you mean by "Twice"? If "Twice" requires all nine members to exist, I'll take that bet. And yes, I know neither of us has 1000 Akorns, but I'm assuming we will once its contract renewal time next year.
(I would like all of them to renew as well, so either way I win the bet!)

LOL but I'm the same...well, maybe not like that but I would probably leave KPOP as a whole if Twice disbands.
I mean, I'd probably be a casual fan but I wouldn't be as committed as I used to. There's Blackpink but we know how that goes...them and being trapped in a dungeon.
Other than Twice and Blackpink, there's no other groups that I hardcore stan like them so I'd probably get bored tbh.

Oooh. That's interesting and sad at the same time. But I do understand you as i just keep up with BP and tbh kpop community isn't as good as it was before. Now everything is competition and fanwar... But let's see, I'm always open for new groups.

Some idols are born to be idols like Nayeon, Sana, Jihyo, and Momo. You can tell they love performing, they love being in front of the camera. Other idols, not so much.

Its honestly very hard to tell. Even if we speculate with what its known publicly, we can't really tell what each member personally wants. I'd say just prepared for anything
However, a lot of groups are now mantaining their relationship despite not renewing with their original company, so even if they not renew, its not the end of the group.

Yeah...🥺 KPOP doesn't really interest me that much, it's those two groups that keep me going. I'm still open to other groups and I still listen and love a lot of groups but I probably won't stay after my faves disband...

Same. Even more with BB ~ GD (my other reason to stay) almost zero presence or news about a cb. I guess now it's less exciting for me.

I choose to believe the words they say, rather than doubt them. If they don't renew later, they could easily have changed their minds. If I'm constantly doubting if what they say is true, or believing that they were forced to say things, that would take the joy out it for me when I hear anything they say.
I can't be that cynical.

Yeah...and Blackpink hasn't come out with a lot of content lately either...
Twice rn has been filling the void for the lacking Blackpink content but Blackpink is special to me and it wouldn't be the same without them...
