Do you think Aespa have a chance to get the GG award this year ?

I see multiples ggs winning that award base on the award show, criteria and attendance.

I actually do think they have the chance. 😳 Very iconic behavior tho if they were able to snatch it since they’re also ROTY at this point. Sadly, this is only hypothetical since I doubt BP wouldn’t do a comeback this year. But if they really don’t, I can say for sure that Aespa has a very big chance as I can see their first album doing well too.

I certainly hope so. They’ve really been amazing and it’s good to see SM with a top gg again.

I would be happier if they took SOTY like 2ne1 and Miss A did in their debut year.

I think OMG will win

Twice has the best shot- 500K+ album sales and top 10 of BB200 is not exactly nothing. Alcohol Free is doing well on the charts too. Also it's very unlikely BP won't comeback this year, every YG report has them for Q4.

OMG or Brave Girls (if this comeback today is a hit) also have a very solid chance.

if bp don't release a physical twice will win it. decent charting, good sales, probably stronger in voting compared to aespa.

but also numbers matter so much with awards below daesang level. award shows like to spread out the awards so that all the big attending artists win something. aespa would already be winning rookie awards and i don't think they would let twice only win some low tier award like best dance cos they might not attend

as much as I love aespa it looks like we only secured ROTY the GG of the year is between Blackpink OMG and Brave Girls tbh

To be honest yes they should have a shot at it. But convinced they won't get it and not even nominated. In 2019 ITZY should have been nominated as they had incredible digitals from Dalla Dalla. I don't think they would have won but they weren't even nominated. I think it will happen again. I don't think they will even nominate Aespa and instead give them the rookie awards. I think they are heavily in the lead as rookie award winners will be confined to that category only so that a rookie can't get a double award in the rookie and senior awards. It's unfortunately been this way since 2018.

I think the female group/songs of the year nominations will be ITZY, Twice, OMG, Brave Girls, Mamamoo, and "maybe" IZ*ONE as of now.

I'll answer based on the hypotetical situation above:

-honestly not that easy since winning gg awards has some many criterias in it (digital+physical+voting+judges).

-The drawbacks as someone said above, aespa still rookies so the chances are aespa will be given roty awards only + bonsang

-The biggest chance for aespa is to grab the gaon song of the year per month if the next release are doing on par or even better than NL

I think they may get Soty as next level is so viral in Korea. That will be impressive for a rookie to win that xx

Brave girls will win at least one but you know each award show have it’s own criteria so for example at MAMA they are in disadvantage because of the album sales.

So far, I would say Twice deserves to win it. They outsell multiple times more than any other gg and their digitals are decent, but I doubt they will win it either. I think they'll really want to push it to Brave Girls.. it's a feel good story and have great charting to support it.

They usually give bongsang. They usually give Girl Group of the year to Twice. Because Twice good both digitally and physically.

A rookie will not win a big award like that tbh it's clearly between OMG Brave Girls Twice and BP
