Monopoly has a very specific meaning

Kpop fans have to stop confusing what kind of company BH is becoming - a content provider, not primarily an entertainment agency. In that sector they have LOTS of competition.

Like SM and YG even have more subsidiries and other investment than Big Hit, and those two are not even the biggest company in SK.

People really should learn more about economics and the relevant terms.

At the least it's going towards an oligopoly, with more than 2 (but still just a few) companies dominating practically the entire K-pop playing field.

So it's more than just CJ&EM, or BH, but yeah, there's very much consolidating going on.

yeah cj&em and a couple of other unknown but deep pockets have been way more anti-trust considering the companies they buy actually just get squashed
