I think we're witnessing the changing of the guard so to speak. With StayC and Aespa breaking out along with Itzy and Idle, and as more and more 3rd gen groups fall into history, i think 2021 is the year that 4th generation will finally assume its place.

G idle is more like 3.5 gen group I wouldn't consider them 4th gen 4th started in 2019

People always include skz and the Boyz in 4th gen discussions, it's only fair if gidle get included too. Especially because their company already had a 3rd gen gg (CLC)

they aren't 4th gen either the whole generation talk started with itzy and txt

also cube is actually debuting a new gg so that makes it seem more like their new gg is gonna be targeted to a younger demographic

THE 3.5 GEN EXISTS (2017/2018) (+ IT’S BC OF BTS)

I think groups between (LATE 2016?) probably just 2017 and 2018 are 3.5 gen. That includes but isn’t limited to:

- Stray Kids (2018)
- Gidle (2018)
- Dreamcatcher (2017)
- The Boyz (2017)
- Ateez (2018)
- Loona (2018)

Because 4th gen started in 2019 but some earlier groups are considered 4th gen depending on the situation. Why is that? Because no one ever distinguishes 3.5 from 3rd and 4th gen but it’s important to. They’re years behind some 3rd gen but years ahead of some 4th gen.

Does anyone know what Weeekly's current daily Melon ranking is? I know they climbed from like #400 to #171 a few days ago but I have no idea what the latest update it since their charts account on Twitter is useless lol
