    Sorry, this was more regarding their peak. Illit will have the ability to have a successful tour and are currently one of the top kpop groups in Japan. I just don’t think their peak will reach the top 3 groups mentioned . I think they would fall in tier below them which Idle and LSF fall under. However, they probably won’t be as successful as them and might fall more in line with itzy

    I think this is very true because the music industry is unpredictable . Just a couple of months ago who thought nmixx would have one of the biggest hits or KiiiKiii would have a #1 hit after questionable sales for the same release. I think we all like to discuss things and predict how groups will perform but we can’t predict how the general public react to releases. Timing is everything and we’ve seen groups come back when things weren’t going well


    Anyway,I’m guilty of predicting the worst but Illit has had many moments when people thought they were out and they recovered . They seem to be a resilient group and should be fine imo

    Overall my sentiment is this :


    Yes ILLIT and HYBE stole and plagiarized MHJ’s plans to create ILLIT


    But I also believe this is very common in kpop and companies always debut acts copied from their previous success formula.


    The real issue is Ador was led to believe that they’re an independent entity and not like SM/YG etc that can just copy concepts between their groups and share development plans.


    I even think HYBE wanted MHJ to do that and sis just straight up refused


    The crux of the matter imo is not whether it’s morally right to share concepts and plans between groups (because kpop always does that) but the fact that ADOR believed themselves to be independent and HYBE did not. Which is why HYBE wanted to oust Ador.

    I think HYBE wanted to restructure ADOR to be like SouMus, are there are parallels between what they wanted to do, and how the founder of SouMus is only an internal director (with the odd techincal help now and them with LSF's CBs) now on its board, and how he owns 20% of the label, too.

    This is just semantics old or new doesn’t even matter in the legal sense . Baemon and BP are both active and very much have common concepts right now. And SM BG’s at one point were so common (just thinking back on 2019/20 Shinee EXO NCT release is hilarious) that the biggest drag used to be “sounds like NCT” to any release from SM


    So yeah it’s VERY common in kpop companies. But HYBE wanted to have the cake and eat it too. They acquired and created a company system promising independence when the truth is they just wanted a short cut to have a dynasty like SM/YG etc and then ousting anyone who opposed it.
