the song is good but it's not that great either.

i think many a listers and digimons are just not releasing music great enough to end the dominance of a generational hit such as golden. and obviously, the fact that's it's a netflix movie help in it's advantages in terms of long term promotion.

GOLDEN isn't really better than what other Kpop groups released, btw, it's just the movie is such a massive hit and there's nothing that people love more than overhyped things.

My problem with this, is that the minute someone's gonna beat GOLDEN, Kpop's gonna even more toxic.

i think golden is a BANGER. and obviously the movie gives it a much bigger and deeper dimension.

Usually when someone makes shady threads trashing a song, they end up getting bad karma as the song blows up and goes viral. I thought this would happen to me since i couldnt help but vent about my hate for this song and Dirty Work.

This song doesn't just got the Kpop fans, but also has the kids demographic streaming. That is pretty much unbeatable, as kids usually don't get as into Kpop as they do animated movies, so they won't jump to whatever next Kpop song the Kpop fans like but stay with this song. I remember being a kid and going insane about Disney movie songs. And I didn't care at all about celebrity music back then, so I would be playing that one song and that one song only.

I think this will only be beaten as the song slowly loses steam and a new thing appears that kids love, so that demographic stops streaming and other songs get a chance.

I say GD could dethrone it or another "BigBang" song

Bigbang, blackpink, or soloists like gd or ıu. But honestly, I feel like a hit could come from an unexpected group even one that hasn’t debuted yet. I’m not too familiar with the new-gen boy groups, but I don’t see them having much of a chance since their songs usually aren’t that public-friendly, and a hit needs to be. h2h and kiof, though, are probably the most public-friendly among their peers, so I’d put my money on them.
