I don't mind the songs but they were weak. They lost their power in making any song chart. I think how they presented the rebranding had mixed reaction and made people not fully lock into their comeback. It still doesn't make too much sense because they still sold over 1 million copies. I just think public rejected the song. I think they will bounce back next comeback, but they most likely lost their power in making any song chart.

It's always possible idle's sudden hot streak from 2021-2023 was just a fad.

Happens often that it seems an artist has finally broken through to cement themselves as a top act with a string of hits only to drop duds that breaks their winning streak and fade back to where they came from. Like the extended version of a one-hit-wonder.

The future is still unwritten though so i-dle can always turn it around but as it seems Soyeon is running out of ideas and she is the main reason for i-dle suddenly being able to compete with the top girl groups, I doubt it.

like i said in another thread previously, it is very weird that IDLE totally didnt chart on top100. Group don't go from #2 to "NOT IN" within 1 comeback

They didnt have big scandal and just name change. I doubt it has that big of impact as they didnt create new group but merely changing name (i.e. they did not release Good Thing under a separate artist listing)

They just crossed 7th anniversary few months ago. You dont go from #2 to 'NOT IN' just because you crossed 7th years.

There are many groups that are still active beyond 7 years and still able to chart

you're never guaranteed good charting unless you have a gigantic fandom in korea

As someone who have been supporting them from the start, it's just their weakest songs until now. Some of their songs were polarizing but still loved by many, some Neverland do like Good thing but that's al.
