Debut that disappointed you the most for 5th generation groups

Babymonster. Felt like BLACKPINK at home

The members definitely have star power. Their stages have been spectacular regardless of what you think of the song.

MEOVV as well. I LIKED the intro videos and the Teddy stuff had me much more excited for their debut than... other groups but the song itself just left me "eh"... I'll give them another chance though
Groups I had low to NO expectations for but still disappointed: Babymonster and ILLIT

It was a long time ago since I had any real expections for any group before debut, so I don't really get disappointed either. Sure I'm "curious" about some groups like Babymonster, and I think they have done pretty well. Next SME groups will be "intresting". I knew I hade some expections for Tri.be., but I don't really now what happen to them......

Considering the hype there was around them for years
The fact that it was teddy who focused on this group
Plus how much they tried to hype a lineup with bailey etc... With instagram post etc...
I had high expectations
And i was sure that teddy will make them devut with something who would feel like a statement
But even if i like the song
It was underwhelming compare to what i expected
And people criticize YG for BM debut saying YG lost their touch after teddy departure
But i actually think that Teddy and YG works better together
Than they do individually
That's why both BM and Meovv debut have been so underwhelming

My expectations for TBL gg were related to members anticipated not Teddy himself so they disappeared when members teasers came out. So now they are kinda doing how i would expect a new GG to perform.
BM debut felt underwhelming because of YG shenanigans i remember how much he delayed that shit/ releasing batter up without Ahyeon/no music show promos whatsoever. Post Sheesh they are doing well within expectation.

all of them. i think the 5th gen is just not for me. i don’t find any of the new groups appealing enough to stan at this current time.
i like katseye a lot but not sure if they’re considered kpop.
