If they are still using the EXO or EXO-CBX name, then 10% is fair. SM spent money on that branding and promotion, so it should cost.

It’s not like SM is hindering them from promoting, they just wanna get paid.

The likes of Qoo are filled with SM stans, so unsurprising that they would side with SM on this one. Maybe the boys can shift some public opinion in their favour after the press con like MHJ did.

SM is so incredibly shortsighted, they just want a piece of Baek's album (which was supposedly going to get teased any day now, he already recorded it and filmed the mv). Is it really worth losing the revenue of the winter album in December and all the purported future EXO activities in 2026 (an album and world tour) just for a 10% royalty of CBX's solo works?

I just can't get over how small-minded they are, all this will do at best is hurt everyone's brand and reputation more and make SM lose even more money. God I hate them.

There's no severe repercussion when SM along with Kakao were doing stock manipulation during SM acquisition so I don't see this will end well for cbx unless they ask help from MHJ shamans.

yes, because it's exactly the same thing. CBX are dragging artists like Aespa and RIIZE, accusing them of plagiarism, saying SM pushes albums through fansigns, complaining about not being greeted in an elevator by Chris Lee or something and that the SM PR department released press about other SM acts on the same day one of their concerts is announced, etc.

When is the press conference starting? Like in how many hours?

If I understood correctly they agreed with SM on 5.5% and now SM is demanding more and they did nit pay them for participating in exo activities. That's the gist of it from what I understood but I will ofc wait for more informations.

This was an issue BEFORE inb100 signed with bpm, they demanded 10% before all that and inb100 emailed them but sm is not responding, which is why they decided to have press conference.

how does SM keep getting away with treating its artists like this? and if they do this with artists i cant imagine they're much better with random employees.
