SM is the only company that consistently producing successful girl group. Why?

I am waiting for SM's new gg this year. i heard that they have an Indonesian member in the group.

I think part of it is their long history and experience.

If I had to rank BIG3 from start to now, I would say they had the strongest history.

I am guessing they are also very versatile and know how and when to change concepts, without it feeling too sudden.

I think they focus on consistent and HYBE is quite new to debuting GGs if you don't count Glam.

Yeah, their next upcoming GG will be really successful too.

No, just expected they will debut a gg following Riize this summer.

I think that it's because SM used to be the trendsetter in kpop for a long time, or if not the trendsetter, at least the one popularizing stuff. They weren't (and still aren't) afraid to experiment.

Like some users already pointed out: HYBE is still "new" to gg's (after GLAM), so let's see how/if the industry will change.

SM had their fair shares of misses too, although that was long time ago.

I heard The Grace was basically hindered to succeed because one member had rather early on health issues (not blaming her) so the group never really got to promote for that long, right? I looked it up now and they have 1 Korean album and two Japanese ones and only 4 members. 1 missing is not that great for such a low numbered group.

I don't know about MILK though, so I googled them and they were made by BM entertainment, a sister label from SM, and they only released 1 album in their two active years. No wonder they didn't succeed. Usually if a group is not immediately extremly successful (which is usually the case with at least the older SM groups) SM will promote them so much until they are successful

Especially vocals that help in giving their idols top-notch uniqueness and longevity. BoA is still a great performer due to her talent. The Grace performed under SM till 2019 because of their talent.

Back in the days, SM created half of my favorites, not only girl groups. Mr. Boss left, and now they're not like that anymore. So, compared to themselves they're not as good anymore, but the basics are still there.

They prefer TALENT! I said this many times: QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!

Tbh Glam music was good

unfortunate how things turned out with them

compared to JYP, SM has debuted too few ggs in recent years

JYP stans are stretched thin when it comes to spending their money

With YG, maybe let's give baemon some chance to grow
