Sometimes, it's subtle changes, and other times it's obvious, but we can actually tell how some idols keep changing their features or redoing this and that part of their face. I have a few in mind, but I wouldn't say who they are. They already look good, but it seems like they can't stop. Each year, we see something different with their face. I hope their company also teaches these idols to stop when they already look good. Nothing good comes from being too obsessive over something. We might see how worse they're going to look once they're in their 40s or 50s, or even as early as their 30s if they never satisfied with their face.
It's actually scary to see how some idols seem obsessed with plastic surgery, causing their faces to change every year.

Speaking of looking different, have u guys seen Jennifer Aniston now? Korea has the obsession to look like an anime character and Hollywood is so afraid of aging gracefully. It’s such a toxic environment, I can’t imagine surviving it unaffected.
IMO, it’s ok to have tweaks as to increase your confidence but if the only solution to have confidence is thru plastic surgery, then there most be an undelying problem. Because you will never be satisfied.
Fans are to blame too. Some fans have such high expectations for idols and some judge idols based on looks and would not hesitate to body shame them. Crazy.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I don't know what you're talking about.
What don't you understand

I think being judged constantly for your looks by a large number of people will do unholy things to your mental health and self image

This is the core of the issue. If Koreans weren’t so obsessed with beauty standards, this won’t be happening

There should be a balance with everything. I'm not going to pretend there isn't a problem.
Body dysmorphia is a curse. I doubt the industry or Korean society wants to talk about it because they've accepted plastic surgery as the norm and the solution. It's really sad.
I just hope the idols with natural, "imperfect" features continue to send a different message. There's a number of them out there!
There's nothing inherently wrong with plastic surgery, but I wish natural beauty would be embraced and encouraged more often.

I see it with mah girl Yuri. I have no qualms about plastic surgery in general, if i were an idol, i would probably do it as well. And she obviously had a couple surgeries during Produce/early Izone era. Here she is at the end of her Izone days...
To me, she is one of the top visuals in Kpop.
But she didnt stop then. Over the past three years of her solo career, she has looked subtly different multiple times (probably more like botox, filler, and other "soft" plastic operations rather than full on rhinoplasty/implants/etc). But to me she had already reached a perfect balance at the end of Izone.

When we love their current face and next comeback they come out with completely new face
I saw this so many times with celebrities all over the world and it is so sad. This is much deeper issue than just "plastic surgery."

Sica is pretty not on the same level as yoona and taeyeon

I think those who make small changes to every CB do so out of lack of self-confidence. Their psychological health is not good. Also people who constantly have plastic surgery are either obsessed with staying young or have it done because they want to reach beauty standards. I think Korean beauty standart definitely boring. It's definitely not a healthy way of thinking, but I find it normal for idols to do this because whatever they do, they get negative criticism. Criticism wears out their psychology. From what I've observed, anti fans make very cruel and unrealistic comments.
